High number of bank cards are inactive

Over 132 million bank cards had been issued by the end of 2017. However, according to the Vietnam Card Association (VCA), only 77 million cards are being used to make regular transactions.

Fifty million of the 132 million bank cards issued in the country are not in use, causing an enormous waste of resources, the Việt Nam Bank Card Association has said.
