Reference exchange rate down VNĐ29

The State Bank of Việt Nam has set the daily reference exchange rate for June 1 at VNĐ22,566 per US dollar, down VNĐ29 from the previous day.

With the current trading band of +/- 3 per cent, the ceiling rate applied to commercial banks during the day is VNĐ23,243 per US dollar while the floor rate was VNĐ21,889 per US dollar.

Opening hour rates at commercial banks continued to fall compared to May 31. 

Vietcombank reduced both rates by VNĐ30, listing the buying rate at VNĐ22,765 per US dollar and the selling rate at VNĐ22,835 per US dollar. 

BIDV also listed its buying and selling rates at VNĐ22,765 per US dollar and VNĐ22,835 per US dollar, repectively, representing a reduction of VNĐ25 for both. 

Meanwhile, Techcombank pegged its buying rate at VNĐ22,745 per US dollar and its selling rate at VNĐ22,845 per US dollar, down VNĐ20 for both rates.
