VN asks Youttube to remove over 5,000 toxic videos

Over 5,000 toxic videos have been removed from Youtube, Minister of Information and Communications Truong Minh Tuan told legislators on Friday.

These toxic videos infringed upon the interests of the Party and the State as well as the legitimate rights and intersts of individuals.

The Ministry will continue working with social network service providers to eliminate toxin contents, said Tuan, adding that it is difficult to manage all 53  million social network users in Viet Nam

He admitted that the Minstry still lacks of effective measures to manage advertising on Facebook and Google.

Tuan also reported Viet Nam detected 27 cyber attacks on servers of the International Media Center located in Da Nang City during the 2017 APEC Economic Leaders’ Week.

In the first 11 months this year, more than 11,000 cyber attacks have been found, said the Minister./
