Huawei appoints new Vietnam CEO

As a veteran in the information and communications technology (ICT) business, Mr. Fan will be responsible for the company’s day-to-day business operations, ensuring that Huawei meets its commitment to delivering ICT products and solutions in Vietnam.

Mr. Fan began working at Huawei in 2006 as a Senior Solution Manager for the Hangzhou Representative Office. Before his Vietnam appointment, he worked in Kuala Lumpur as Deputy CEO of Huawei Malaysia, in charge of subsidiary operations management and transformation projects.

“Vietnam’s ICT industry is poised for strong growth, so it is therefore an exciting time to be in Vietnam and lead our business here,” Mr. Fan said. 

“We have invested here for 19 years. Vietnam is an important, strategic market for Huawei because we believe that our growth in this market is intertwined with the overall sustainable development of a region that holds so much potential for ICT innovation and growth.
