Facebook Vietnam director announces resignation

Le Diep Kieu Trang, country director for Facebook Vietnam, on December 5 announced on her Facebook page that she would quit late this year as she wants to spend more time with her family and launch new personal initiatives.

The Vietnamese business executive said she is proud of being part of the world’s largest social media network, and that more enterprises would choose to access their customers through Facebook.

On March 20 this year, Trang, also known as Christy Le, was chosen as the director of Facebook and was put in charge of Facebook’s business development in Vietnam. She was assigned to work in Singapore.

Trang had previously won scholarships to study at Oxford University in England and Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the United States at a young age. 

She was the co-founder of Misfit Wearables and the CEO of Fossil Vietnam before assuming her role as the Facebook Vietnam head.
