Vinh Long: Bank robbery suspect kills himself

While police investigators in the Mekong delta province of Vinh Long are carrying out investigation of bank robbery, the suspect killed himself at the workplace.

Leaders of Vinh Long Province September 29 said that a probe of the bank robbery in Hoa Phu Industrial Park is being carried out, police was informed a over 40 year old man who was suspected to take away an over US$9,108 amount from the bank on September 27 , was found dead after an apparent suicide at his workplace.

Suspect N.V.K., born in 1975, said in his suicide note that he had “conducted a bank robbery [to pay] huge debts.

As the newspaper released before on September 27, the robbery happened at a branch of state-run VietinBank in Hoa Phu Industrial Park, Hoa Phu Commune, Long Ho District.

The culprit wearing facemask, a T-shirt, sport shoes on motorbike Airblade without plate charged into the facility and instructed everyone to lay down on the floor before forcing an employee to fill his bag with cash.

After robbing VND207 million (US$9,108), he quickly fled away the bank on the motorbike without plate.
