The artworks reflect the artists’ abstraction or expression styles. However, their themes are close to each other, such as old personal memories, mythical stories about humans and scenes in dreams. Therefore, the exhibition is called “Dreaming”.

Pham Dinh Tung’s works feature mystery folks such as Eden Garden and Heaven. A blend of color lines and the looming of the figures create a unique visual effect, and thus present illusory themes.

Nguyen Hung Cuong brings to the show a series of paintings about stranger faces. It might be someone that he met somewhere or faces he met in his dreams.

Vu Van Long’s works are about his dreams by both abstraction and expression styles. Woman and sexuality are what he repeatedly sees in his dreams. Bathing swans or naked women keep flickering in his paintings.

Van Trong showcases his paintings about women in this exhibition. He doesn’t draw what he sees in his dreams but his reflection on sexual desire. Breasts and shining tanned skins of women are always at the heart of his artworks.

Each painting of Nguyen Tien Quan presents an old and fading memory about a place or an ex-lover. He works on lacquer paintings in expressionism style. The blending of colors with women’s shape highlighted by pomelo flowers will bring viewers romance and imagination.

Phung Van Tue is quite different from the others in this artist group. He deeply falls into just colors. His artworks are the skilful combination of abstract expressionism and minimalism.
