Duyen Dang Vietnam show to debut next week

Duyen Dang Vietnam (Charming Vietnam), an annual music and fashion show designed to raise funds for Nguyen Thai Binh scholarship foundation and Nhan tai Nuoc Viet (Vietnamese talent) education foundation, will begin in HCMC on December 29.

The four-day 25th event at Hoa Binh Theater in District 10 will go with the theme “Giac mo xuan” (A dream of Spring) and be directed by Nguyen Quang Dung. 

The program will attract famous faces in the local and overseas Vietnamese entertainment industry, including Nhat Ha, Tuan Ngoc, Huong Lan, Dam Vinh Hung, Phuong Thanh, Quang Dung, Ho Ngoc Ha and Van Mai Huong. 

Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy, Miss Vietnam World 2010 Diem Huong, Miss Grand Slam Asia 2009 by Global Beauties 
Huong Giang and Vu Manh Hiep, the gold prize winner of Vietnam Supermodel 2011, will also be present.

Some latest ao dai (Vietnamese long dress) designs by ABC, Hoang Hai, Quynh Paris and Lien Huong brands will be introduced in the program.

According to director Nguyen Quang Dung, Charming Vietnam will not use the LED screens but a movable background and decorations as done on Broadway stage.

Tickets are priced at VND400,000, VND700,000, VND1 million, VND1.5 million and VND2 million and available at Hoa Binh Theater, Thanh Nien newspaper office at 248 Cong Quynh Street in HCMC’s District 1, Thanh Nien Media Corp. at 2B Cao Thang Street in HCMC’s District 3. Since its inception in 1990 Nguyen Thai Binh scholarship foundation has awarded over 11,000 scholarships worth over VND20 billion to poor students nationwide.
